Water plays many important roles within the body. Around 60% of your body composition is water. Water is involved in various important body functions such as forming saliva, digestion and absorption of nutrients, circulation (blood), cellular chemical reactions, transportation of nutrients and other elements, waste removal and maintenance of body temperature.

Your body needs water to survive and function properly. Its so important that you could not live without drinking water for more than a few days. Although generally this fact is treated trivially, no other nutrient is more essential or is needed in such large amounts.
